The ready made phyllo enables us to make quick and easy. They are filled with feta cheese, yogurt and semolina. A healthy snack made from us.

Cheese Pies Pocket

Ingredients (10 cheese pies)

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 150g (5.3 oz) Feta Cheese
  • 100g (3.5 oz) yogurt, strained
  • 2 tbsp semolina, fine
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp sesame
In medium size bowl add the feta and mash with a fork.
Add the yogurt and semolina and mix well to make a paste.
Put aside for a while.
Scribe the sheet to be cut into 8 or 10, depending on its size, similar pieces. With beaten egg pass, with a brush, the cutting points and perimeter.
Place in the center and along a quantity of the cheese mixture. We turn the edges of the right and left to join over the filling slightly overlapping.
Place the cheese pies with the union down onto oven sheet covered with baking paper.
Push both ends, with forks to stick well.
Brush the surface with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with plenty of sesame.
Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (356°F, Gas 4.2) for ~20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
