Ingredients (8 servings)

Peel, wash and cut the onions. Put the onions in a saucepan and add enough water to cover them. Boil for 10 minutes. Pour the contents of the saucepan into a colander to drain well and set aside to cool. |
In large bowl, add the eggs, salt, pepper, paprika and turmeric. |
Continue adding the sifted flour. Mix. |
Cut the bacon, cheese and sun-dried tomatoes into small pieces. Add to the mixture in bowl. Mix in the grated gruyere. Stir the mixture. |
Add the drained onions, stir again gently. |
Crush the feta by hand and add this too. Mix. |
Grease, with a brush, a large rectangular baking pan and spread a pastry sheet. Pour in the pie mixture and spread evenly with a fork across the surface of the pan. |
Cover the ingredients with the second pastry sheet, turn the excess and incise the pie into squares. Bake in preheated oven, with resistance up and down, at 180°C/ 350°F/Gas 4 for ~1 hour or until the surface of the pie gets golden brown. |
