Three delicious kinds of cheese that melt and roll the homemade bread buns, lots of garlic, and roasted in the oven are these addictive garlic slices. Rich, creamy, and crunchy, they combine with too many dishes to dominate the Barbecue Grills. A juicy steak or fluffy burger will taste delicious with these buns! They are also consumed on their own as a meze/ snack with the drink of our choice. Here they were combined with roasted sweet potatoes and their taste was irresistible!

Ingredients (6 Garlic Bread)

  • 3 mini breads
  • 80g softened butter
  • 80g shredded Asiago cheese
  • 80g shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • 80g shredded parmesan cheese
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 2-3 spring onions, finaly chopped
  • 2-3 spring of parsley
In a large bowl bring together the softened butter and all the grated cheese..
Add the onion & parsley finely chopped. Mash the garlic in the garlic press and add it to the bowl with the bread of garlic ingredients. Mix very well.
Cut the buns in half lengthwise and horizontally, so that we have six halves.
Spread each half with a firm dose of the tasty cheese mixture.
Bake in preheated oven at 200℃ (392℉, Gas Mark:5.7) for ~15′ until golden. Serve warm, cut 3-4 slices vertically. Accompanied by roasted sweet potatoes or whatever we like.

Roasted Sweet Potatoes: Wash the potato peel very well with the hard side of a kitchen sponge, if we want to bake them with peel, otherwise we peel them.
Cut them into thick washers or short pieces. Put them in a large bowl, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons olive oil. Mix well to oil. Add salt, pepper, turmeric, oregano and peel flakes ("pepper flakes"). Stir again and toss in a nonstick baking tray. Bake at 180℃ (356℉, Gas Mark: 4.2) for ~30'. They become like fried but much healthier. Remember that it is wrong to associate the sweet potato with the common potato because it has nothing to do with it. It is a plant grown for its starch and sugar-rich roots!
